A new Craft Brewery based in the Ghent neighborhood of Norfolk, located in an 18,000-square-foot warehouse just off Church Street. Half of the warehouse interior, will be used for brewery operations, and is expected to feature a tasting room along with a cigar bar and a sizable brew house. Back Bay's Farm House Brewing, 1805 Kempsville Rd., Kempsville, VB
The farm will include a tasting room in the original farm house that can also be used to host special events such as weddings. A farmers market is also planned and there are plans to plant additional fruit trees, including apple and peach, to be used in beer making. Other brewing ingredients, such as hops and barley, may also one day be grown there. Back Bay Brewing Co. will move its production to a 15-barrel brewing system and 30 barrel fermenters in a 1,500-square-foot hanger on site, instead of contracting with St. George Brewing.

The Bunker Brewpub, 211 21st Street, Virginia Beach Oceanfront
Young Veterans Brewing Co. will open The Bunker, a restaurant under Peabody's Nightclub at the corner of 21st Street and Pacific Avenue. At the new Oceanfront spot, they will sell beer from the original three-barrel system and serve other liquor. But they'll also be able to host live music, games and install TVs - entertainment they had planned to offer at the brewery but couldn't because of the restrictions.



CHESAPEAKE (1):

Big Ugly Brewing Company, 1296 S. Battlefield Blvd, Chesapeake

UPCOMING BEER FESTS AND FESTIVAL FORECAST:

Sat, Dec 2 - Holiday Yule Log Bonfire & Christmas Market, Town Point Park, 12 - 8:00 pm, 201 Waterside Dr., Norfolk. Join us for a one-day Holiday Market in Town Point Park on the Downtown Norfolk Waterfront. The Holiday Market will coincide with the 4th Annual Holiday Yule Log Bon Fire, noon - 8 pm. This festive outdoor wonderland will feature unique and local crafters, a massive Yule Log bonfire, Christmas caroling with a take home carol book, and also a visit from the big-man himself, Santa Claus. During the festivities, hot chocolate, ciders, seasonal craft beer, mulled wine and other holiday treats will be available for purchase.
