This year's festival is moving to Saturday Night August 4th on Duke of Gloucester Street! Sat, Aug 4 - Dazed and Consumed: Summer Invitational, O'Connor Brewing Co., 1 - 6:00 pm, 211 W 24th St, Norfolk. The first weekend of August, Virginia Craft Beer Magazine and OBC are hosting Dazed and Consumed, a state-wide brewery invitational, because we wanted to kick-off VA Craft Beer Month by throwing a party with unique beers from across the state, great tunes, great food, and just a bunch of goofs having fun. The beers at the festival will be extremely fresh + rare, making it difficult to predict what everyone will bring. All of the beers will be of a limited variety that have never been distributed to the Hampton Roads area. Must be 21+ w/ valid ID to get a wristband. Please no pets or strollers in the festival area. Sat/Sun, Oct 20/21 - Virginia Beach Craft Beer Festival, 1 - 6:00 pm each day, 31st Street Park, Oceanfront, Virginia Beach. Over 50 craft beers from over 25 breweries will be available for sampling at the Virginia Beach Craft Beer Festival.  Tickets include unlimited sampling, a commemorative cup, and live entertainment. Live music sets the stage at this perfect beach setting for tasting some of the best craft beers available. The 31st Street Park location provides convenient parking across the street at the municipal garage. A limited number of tickets will be available each day. It is not recommended that children attend this event.  It is designed to be a 21+ festival. Performances include Dustin Furlow and Nate Sacks & the Lifehacks (Saturday) and Blackwater Jam and Woodwork (Sunday). Chairs and pets are not allowed into the gated venue. Proceeds support the Virginia Legends Walk.

Live music sets the stage at this perfect beach setting for tasting some of the best craft beers available. The 31st Street Park location provides convenient parking across the street at the municipal garage. A limited number of tickets will be available each day. It is not recommended that children attend this event.  It is designed to be a 21+ festival. Performances include Dustin Furlow and Nate Sacks & the Lifehacks (Saturday) and Blackwater Jam and Woodwork (Sunday). Chairs and pets are not allowed into the gated venue. Proceeds support the Virginia Legends Walk.

We will serve Bold Mariner mainstays such as Frogman Lager, but the showcase will be on premium craft ales, sours, and barrel-aged beers.

Maker's Craft Brewery, 735 E 23rd St., Norfolk
A new Craft Brewery based in the Ghent neighborhood of Norfolk, located in an 18,000-square-foot warehouse just off Church Street. Half of the warehouse interior, will be used for brewery operations, and is expected to feature a tasting room along with a cigar bar and a sizable brew house. The brewery's large outdoor area will be used for yard games like giant chess, corn hole, bocce and more while, food trucks that will regularly be featured on location.

New Realm Brewing from Atlanta, GA has announced plans to open a second brewery and taproom in Virginia Beach. We have partnered with The Miller Group to lease the 58,000 square-foot facility which formerly housed the Green Flash Brewing Company, following the recent purchase of brewing equipment located at the Virginia Beach facility. The Virginia Beach brewery and taproom will be capable of brewing 40,000 barrels annually, and will feature a tasting room with a wide variety of beers on tap, an outdoor beer garden, and private event space.

Back Bay's Farm House Brewing, 1805 Kempsville Rd., Virginia Beach
The farm will include a tasting room in the original farm house that can also be used to host special events such as weddings. A farmer's market is also planned and there are plans to plant additional fruit trees, including apple and peach, to be used in beer making. Other brewing ingredients, such as hops and barley, may also one day be grown there. Back Bay Brewing Co. will move its production to a 15-barrel brewing system and 30 barrel fermenters in a 1,500-square-foot hanger on site, instead of contracting with St. George Brewing.

The Bunker Brewpub, 211 21st Street, Virginia Beach Oceanfront
Young Veterans Brewing Co. will open The Bunker, a restaurant under Peabody's Nightclub at the corner of 21st Street and Pacific Avenue. At the new Oceanfront spot, they will sell beer from the original three-barrel system and serve other liquor. But they'll also be able to host live music, games and install TVs - entertainment they had planned to offer at the brewery but couldn't because of the restrictions.

Craft Beer, Done Right. Isley Brewing Company is the true definition of microbrewing in the Scott's Addition neighborhood of Richmond VA.  Our goal here at Isley is to embrace the talents of our professional brewer with the passion commonly found in home brewing, to think outside the box every time and push limits while not following the path that others tend to follow, and to create a true crafted beer. Our brewery, which uses a deadrise work boat in its logo, would like to have a diverse range of eight or so rotating beers in addition to seasonal brews. The beer names would reference Gloucester, such as Low Ground Brown or Ordinary Pilsner. The goal is to be producing beer by April 2018 if equipment is ordered by the end of this year.
