Saturday, May 3rd: Something’s brewing at the first-ever craft beer festival at Town Center in Virginia Beach! The Town Center Craft Beer Festival will be held from 1:00-6:00 pm, featuring local Virginia beers and national and regional craft beers and ciders.
Over 50 craft beers from over 25 breweries will be available for sampling. Tickets include sampling and live entertainment featuring Seth Stainback & Roosterfoot.
Local Virginia brewing companies include O’Connor, Smartmouth, Back Bay, St. George, Ale Werks, Legend, Starr Hill, Devils Backbone, and Sunken City.
These national and regional brewing companies will participate: New Belgium, Sweetwater, Heavy Seas, Victory, Lagunitas, Kona, Harpoon, DuClaw, Goose Island, Lonerider, Natty Greene, Oskar Blues, and Gordon Biersch.
Tickets for the Virginia Beach Craft Beer Festival are $25 in advance (plus service fees). Tickets at the gate (if available) are $30.
Live music sets the stage at this perfect outdoor setting for tasting some of the best craft beers brewed. Seth Stainback & Rooster Foot will perform on an outdoor stage throughout the day.

Saturday, May 3rd: The 2nd Annual Mariner’s Craft Beer Festival! Live music, good food and great beer in a unique setting!
The second annual Mariners’ Craft Beer Festival will feature 15 craft breweries and over 40 craft beer selections in the unique setting of The Mariners’ Museum’s outdoor courtyards. The event also includes live music, food vendors and beer talks by brewery representatives.
Participating breweries will include: Heavy Seas, Smartmouth, Devils Backbone, Legend, Starr Hill, AleWerks, New Belgium, St. George, O’Connor, SweetWater, Lonerider, Anheuser Busch, Sunken City, Bold Rock and Goose Island.
Ticket prices are $35 in advance, $40 day of event and $30 for Museum Members. Tickets include 20 craft beer tastings, souvenir tasting glass, entertainment from Hey Hey Hooligan and Esoteric Ramblers and admission to tour The Mariners’ Museum.

Thursday, May 1: It’s the first Thursday of the month, which means…Trivia Night at OBC! Games begin at 5:30, but please be early if you wish to play. It’ll cost a dollar per person to participate, and there are all sorts of prizes up for grabs. Our own Brian Mandeville runs it, and we promise you, it’s a ton of fun. It’s also Thirsty Thursday, so everything is 30% off. Draughts, flights, growler fills, merch, everything.

Friday, May 2: FOOD TRUCK FRIDAYS. TGIF! What better way to start your weekend than with live music, street food and fresh, tasty beers! This week we welcome to the tasting room: Live music by Drama Club (90’s Rock covers), and Delicious gourmet Hot Dogs by ‘Granby Street Hot Dogs’.
Saturday, May 3: On Saturdays we open at noon. At 2pm and 3pm we host free 30-minute tours of the brewery, and from 4 to 7pm we have live music and food trucks to complement our fresh, tasty beers. This week we welcome to the tasting room: Live music by ‘Sharkophagus’ (progressive jazz), and street food by ‘Leilani’s Lunchbox’ (Island Style/Jamaican/Hawaiian).

Wednesday, April 30: Tasting Room, Firkin this Wednesday - We will have a special cask-conditioned beer in the tasting room for several Wednesdays. This week - Murphy’s Law Amber Ale w/ White Oak and Vanilla! Cask ale, or real ale as it is sometimes called, is beer which has not been filtered or pasteurized; it is alive! The beer is transferred straight from the fermenter into the cask along with some priming sugar. The yeast consumes the sugars to produce carbonation and complex flavors. The cask we are using is called a firkin and holds 10.79 gallons of beer. Hope to see you there!
