Join us at the Virginia Beach Tasting Room as we welcome the Backpacking Specialists from REI for the next "Hoppy Adventure Club" event. In this session, REI's Backpacking Specialists will cover how to choose the right shelters and sleep systems for you. Shelters include tents, hammocks, bivvys, and tarp systems. Sleep systems will focus on sleeping bags, liners, and sleeping pads. From sleeping in a tent to elevated camping in a hammock, we'll cover the different types of sleep systems and how to decide which suits you best. We'll also focus on storage methods. Each session features a different topic related to backpacking. Arrive early to buy a beer and save your seat. Class runs from 6-7 pm. Ages 21+. - DINING OUT FOR LIFE: ACCESS AIDS Care will join 60 other cities across the United States and Canada on Thursday, April 27, 2017 for their 14th annual Dining Out for Life benefit. Over 75 restaurants and an estimate of 10,000 diners are expected to take part in the event throughout Hampton Roads. Dining Out For Life is an annual fundraising event involving the generous participation of ambassadors, restaurants and corporate sponsors. Participating restaurants will generously donate a minimum of 25% of their food and alcohol sales to ACCESS AIDS Care. All money raised on this one night will help ACCESS AIDS Care continue its efforts to provide prevention education and outreach for men, women and youth at risk for HIV/AIDS, and supportive services.
