Sat, May 12 - 5th Annual Spring Street Party, Hosted by Smartmouth Brewing HQ, 12 - 8:00 pm, 1309 Raleigh Ave., Norfolk. Let's raise a glass to the arrival of Spring with our 5th Annual Spring Street Party. We're shutting down the street as we welcome three live bands, several food trucks and 20+ different beers including many of the unique styles recently brewed at our new Pilot House location in VB. The fourth-annual Suds & Buds party with a purpose benefits three causes -- Norfolk Botanical Garden, Rotary Club of Norfolk and Young Audiences of Virginia, Inc. This casual, after-work party is for ages 21 and up who will enjoy an evening at Norfolk Botanical Garden's rose garden. Thu, May 24 - The 5th Annual Bacon, Beer and Bourbon Bash, presented by Rotary Club of Warwick at City Center Newport News, 7 - 9:30 pm, Virginia Living Museum, 524 J Clyde Morris Blvd., Newport News. Celebrating the love of bacon, The Rotary Club of Warwick at City Center Newport News will host its signature charity event featuring local restaurants serving up their best bacon-inspired dish! Guests will sample each dish throughout the evening and will have the opportunity to cast a vote for the People's Choice Award to be presented at the end of the evening. In addition, beer, wine and a variety of non-alcoholic beverages will be available throughout the evening. Each ticket ($40 or 6 for $200) includes your logo glass, unlimited beverages and a food voucher. Live music by Trial By Fire (Journey Tribute Band). Wine available for purchase. Fri-Sun, Jun 22-24 - 29th Annual Bayou Boogaloo Music & Cajun Food Festival, Town Point Park, 1 Waterside Dr., Norfolk. Norfolk's annual love-fest with New Orleans' vibrant spirit and captures the melting pot of Bayou culture. This popular 3-day festival delivers the heart and soul of Louisiana to visitors of Town Point Park in true Cajun and Creole style. This is the most authentic food and music festival in the nation. Two stages featuring national recording artists providing diverse cultural musical entertainment. The Arts Council of New Orleans and Norfolk Festevents hand-pick the most unique and one-of-a-kind artists from Louisiana to share their stories, culture and craft. This year, numerous artists in various mediums including art, jewelry and sculpture will be on site displaying their works. No Bayou celebration would be complete without the mouthwatering Cajun delicacies prepared by authentic Louisiana inspired chefs. Sat, Jul 7 - Hops and Hogs Beer Festival, Hosted by Watermen's Museum, 11:30 am - 6:00 pm, 309 Water St., Yorktown. Come join us for the Hops and Hogs Beer Festival, our third annual Beer Festival. This is our first fundraiser event of the year. Sponsored by Harley Davidson of Hampton Roads, our festival cost is a low $10 per person with all raised funds supporting the Museum's education programs. In conjunction  with TGOV Beach Music Concert Series featuring The Fuzz Band, a great way to start the weekend with Live Music, children's activities, food, beverages and more! We'll have delicious food and amazing beers while enjoying a Saturday Evening in Merchants Square- Williamsburg, VA with Junior Woman's Club of Williamsburg No more need for sunscreen but don't worry we'll still have those awesome water misters! Neptune's Park will be transformed into a craft beer lover's haven on Saturday, August 25th, featuring local Virginia beers and cask ales, as well national and regional craft beers. Sat, Sep 8 - 6th Annual 757 Battle of the Beers 2018, Hosted by Beach Ambassadors, 1 - 6:00 pm, Hunt Club Farm, 2388 London Bridge Rd., Virginia Beach. This is the only festival in Hampton Roads that exclusively features local 757 Craft Breweries as they battle it out to win in different beer categories - with 100% of the proceeds go to local Hampton Roads charities! This award-winning and unique event pits local, Hampton Roads-based breweries against each other to determine who has the best beer in Hampton Roads. Each year, local breweries put their best brews on tap and are rated by an official brewer tasting panel and by attendees of the event to see which beer is the best in the 7-5-7. The one-of-a-kind event features live music, food, tastings of every beer (two beers from each brewery!), corn hole, giant beer pong, and more! Norfolk Festevents, in partnership with Patrick Evans-Hylton's Virginia Eats And Drinks, presents the first Commonwealth Coastal Classic, Saturday, September 15, 2018 in Town Point Park. Over 50 craft beers from over 25 breweries will be available for sampling at the Virginia Beach Craft Beer Festival.  Tickets include unlimited sampling, a commemorative cup, and live entertainment.
