Local Tidewater VA Beer Festivals

UPCOMING BEER FESTS AND FESTIVAL FORECAST:

Sat, Nov 17 - Merriment and Misery Grog Fest, 12 - 5:00 pm, Big Ugly Brewing Co., 845 Battlefield Blvd., Chesapeake. The first annual beerfest at the new Big Ugly Brewing! For years the waters of the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico were tormented by a brute of a man by the name of William Teach from England. Once the understudy of Captain Benjamin Hornigold, Teach soon earned his own sloop and crew along with his pirate name - Blackbeard called many places his own but was particularly fond of the quiet, desolate island of Ocracoke NC. It was there that Blackbeard's famed ship "Queen Anne's Revenge" made berth in the still, protected waters of Silver Lake. It was also here that Teach's life came to a brutal end on November 22, 1718, at the hand of Lieutenant Robert Maynard. In remembrance of this faithful day we come together both brewery and distillery alike to lift a tankard to the death of the baddest pirate to sail these waters and plunder these towns. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/merriment-and-misery-beer-festival-tickets-50767087726
