Sat, Apr 27 - [NEW DATE & LOCATION] The Lupulin Effect IPA Festival,  Smartmouth Brewing Norfolk, 1 - 6:00 pm, 1309 Raleigh Ave., Norfolk. Lupulin is the active ingredient in hops. Hops are the driving ingredient in IPAs. IPAs are our favorite part of beer festivals, ergo, Smartmouth’s IPA Festival. Yes, we’re going all in on this mighty plant from the Cannabaceae family with several different IPAs, just waiting to get in your head. Sat, Apr 27 - Spring Fling Beer Fest, Hosted by Phoebus VA Events, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, 21 Mellen St. E, Hampton. Sample craft beer from nine local breweries and cider from Sly Clyde Ciderworks. Admission to the Spring Fling Beer Fest is $30 per person including tastings and a custom Phoebus glass. All tasting tickets must be purchased in person on the day of the event. Individual drinks may be purchased at $5 each. You must be 21+ to enjoy the Spring Fling Beer Fest.


Sat, Apr 27 - CoVa Battle of the Burgers 2019 Southside, Hosted by Coastal Virginia Magazine, 12 - 5:00 pm, Military Aviation Museum, 1341 Princess Anne Rd., Virginia Beach. Join Coastal Virginia Magazine as we invite local restaurants to the battle it out to become CoVa's Best Burger at the 2019 CoVa Battle of the Burgers. Last year Coastal Virginia Magazine hosted the inaugural Battle of the Burgers at the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach, and crowned Coastal Virginia’s best burger. Local restaurants battled it out as they served slider-sized versions of burgers paired with refreshing Virginia craft beers. Attendees and food judges voted for their favorite burger after sampling sliders from several local eateries, and guests voted for their favorite craft brewery after tasting beers, served in a commemorative souvenir glass, from several regional breweries. Sat, Apr 27 - YSC Spring Party, Hosted by VB Youth Service Club, 1 - 6:00 pm, Camp Pendleton, Birdneck Road, General Booth Blvd., Virginia Beach. Join us once again on the last Saturday of April and be part of raising $100,000 for Virginia Beach charities at our 48th annual Spring Party at Camp Pendleton. Some of the best food at any event around cooked by our members on site include pulled pork, BBQ chicken oysters and much much more. Sun, Apr 28 - 2019 Williamsburg Craft Beer Festival, 12 – 5:00 pm, 401 N Boundary Street, Williamsburg. Part of CultureFix VA's Scrumptious Weekend, the 6th annual Williamsburg Craft Beer Festival will feature 50 craft beers from 25 craft breweries. Enjoy delicious beer, live music by Jacob Vanko and BJ Griffin & The Galaxy Groove and food available for purchase from Prost Food Truck, Old City Barbeque and Sno-to-Go. Ticket prices are $35 for general admission and $60 for VIP tickets. Admission for all includes a complimentary 16-oz tasting glass and unlimited 4-oz pours. The Seventh Annual Mariners’ Craft Beer Festival will feature craft beers in the unique setting of The Mariners’ Museum’s outdoor courtyards. Ticket Prices: General Admission Advance Tickets: $35 (through May 5); Day-of General Admission Tickets: $45; Museum Member: $30 (Advance tickets only, No member price day-of); Non-drinker tickets: $15. Thu, May 23 - Bacon Bash 2019: A Bacon, Beer & Bourbon Affair, 6 - 9:00 pm, Virginia Living Museum, 524 J Clyde Morris Boulevard, Newport News. Celebrating the love of bacon, The Rotary Club of Warwick at City Center Newport News will host its signature charity event featuring local restaurants serving up their best bacon-inspired dish! Guests can sample each dish throughout the evening and will have the opportunity to cast a vote for the People's Choice Award to be presented at the end of the evening.  In addition, beer, wine and a variety of non-alcoholic beverages will be available throughout the evening. Ticket includes food, beer, wine and samplings of bourbon cocktails. Price increases to $60 on day of event. The Bayou Boogaloo Music & Cajun Food Festival is Norfolk’s annual love-fest with New Orleans’ vibrant spirit and captures the melting pot of Bayou culture. From New Orleans to the Downtown Norfolk Waterfront, two stages featuring national recording artists providing diverse cultural musical entertainment. The Arts Market of New Orleans returns and brings with it talent, unique artistry and the culture of Louisiana! The Arts Council of New Orleans and Norfolk Festevents hand-pick the most unique and one-of-a-kind artists from Louisiana to share their stories, culture and craft. This year, numerous artists in various mediums including art, jewelry and sculpture will be on site displaying their works. No Bayou celebration would be complete without the mouthwatering Cajun delicacies prepared by authentic Louisiana inspired chefs.
