Fri, Oct 30 - Hampton Roads 2nd annual Brewer’s Ball, O'Connor Brewing Co., 7-11:00 pm, 211 W. 24th Street, Norfolk. All proceeds from this event will benefit the VA chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (www.cff.org). Tickets to the event are $75 each and include unlimited craft beer. Also featured (and included in ticket price) will be local eats from various restaurants including Dickey’s BBQ and Mosaic, live music from local musician Sammy Lee, silent auction and a raffle with a chance to win American Airlines mileage. At the heart of the event are the 2015 young professional honorees who have been fundraising and advocating for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation: Jacob Barclay, Jeff Bradley, Orion Burke, Steve Ferguson, Courtney Freeman, Lindsay Johnson, and Mike Watkins – a special awards presentation will be held for them at the event. There will be TWO bottle releases this day: DEVIL’S TAKE: Our SeaDevil Imperial Stout, brewed with specialty sugars and patiently aged in American bourbon barrels; BRING OUT YOUR DEAD: A farmhouse-style ale. 5th Anniversary Cups: The first 500 guests will receive a free keepsake cup featuring the 'Bring Out Your Dead’ artwork. Starting Sep 26 - Pumtoberfest Challenge: we are running through 15 draft beers-four Oktoberfest and eleven Pumpkin. If you drink a pint of each beer (and don’t lose your punch card), you will receive an orange shirt. That’s right. O-freakin’-range. All you need is dedication, a few dollars, and a liver. We’ve got the beer, punchcards, and the shirts. Punch cards are behind the bar. Great Pumpkiness awaits. Our first two beers, the 1810 Oktoberfest and Pumpkin Down from Ballast Point are already half-empty
