- Vintage Samichlaus Keg Tapping, Bier Garden, 7:00 pm, 438 High St., Portsmouth. This beer once held the Guinness Book of World Records’ title for the “Strongest Beer in the World.” Our very own Bier Garden in Portsmouth has been tapping a vintage keg of Eggenberg Samichlaus ale on Saint Nicholas’ Day since 2006. They will be tapping this year’s keg on Dec.6 at 7 pm. This year’s vintage is from 2011. The event will also feature other selections from Eggenberg brewery, including Urbock 23 and their Pils.

Langrage Line: Session Porter is a session beer made from the final runnings of a porter mash. The resulting beer has all the same flavor aspects of a porter, but in milder concentrations. This beer is only 4% alcohol, so it’s well suited for longer drinking sessions.
