Sat, Jan 16 - DoG Street Pub Firkin Festival, Merchants’ Square, Williamsburg. ~ A Beer & Food festival featuring Cask Ale ~. The Blues sound flourishes in the roots of music, much like Cask Beer, it is raw & unfiltered. Taste the beer tapped at the source at the DoG Street Pub Firkin Fest. “Cask” beer also known as “real ale.” Instead of beer from kegs or bottles, it is poured from firkins & pins (size names for casks). The event will feature off-the-hook live blues music on two stages. This year’s performers include the Bobby Blackhat Band, Anthony Rosano and The Conqueroos, Billy Joe Daniels, Zack Salsberry, and Shelly Thiss - lead singer of the Mike Lucci Band. Something’s brewing at the annual craft beer festival at Town Center in Virginia Beach! The Town Center Craft Beer Festival will feature local Virginia beers and national and regional craft beers and ciders. The Birch’s 4th Annual 43 Hours of Dark Kick-off Night, 5:00 pm, 1231 W Olney Rd, Norfolk. The “43 Hours of” is a festival concept created by The Birch to take place periodically throughout the year. We are open 43 hours in a week, Tuesday through Saturday. The festival lasts the whole week. All 21 of our draft lines will be Dark Beers and Brews for the 43 Hours of Dark. A part of Wasserhund’s mission is to provide (mostly) authentic German beer to our customers. The Hampton Roads area has a larger population of native Germans than we originally thought and the Wasserhund name has luckily brought many of them through our doors. Thanks to their very much welcomed constructive criticism (and free samples from Germany!), we gave our Altbier recipe a complete makeover in our endeavor to bring you the most authentic tasting beer we possibly can. The end result is The Angler Altbier. Please join us to experience the all new Altbier!
