Join us at the Virginia Beach Tasting Room as we welcoming the Backpacking Specialists from REI for the next “Hoppy Adventure Club” event. In this session, REI’s Backpacking Specialists will cover how to properly pack your gear into your backpack. We’ll show you how organize gear in your pack for day and overnight hikes for both efficiency and comfort. From weight distribution to organization techniques, let us help you learn to pack your pack! Demonstration class- please do not bring your pack. A portion of the proceeds of every draft beer sold will be generously donated to help Cystic Fibrosis research, so CF can stand for “cure found”. Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. In people with CF, a defective gene causes a thick, buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas and other organs.

This is our hoppy sour blonde hopped with Azacca and Vic Secret. The tartness and hop flavors play together nicely to make a very refreshing brew. Then, we are also releasing Essential Design V3. We pulled the Chinook hops out and double dry hopped this version with Mosaic lupulin powder. If you thought V2 was better than V1, look out. Utilizing oysters donated by the Hayes Oyster Company, this beer has been brewed to raise funds for local river conservation. The oysters themselves lend little flavor to a full flavored beer like a stout, but they add a 'briny’ undertone that rounds out the flavor. We’ll be tapping this beer to coincide with Earth Day. A portion of proceeds from the sale of this beer will go to the James River Association. Herbie D. and Chris Grooves will be playing awesome blues music from 6 to 9. Join us for our monthly Beer Nerd Forum as our own Charlotte Elia talks about traditional Trappist and Abbey ales and the stories behind the people and places responsible for these wonderful beers.
